Carrie Cameron, Ph.D.

A University of Texas System Distinguished Teaching Professor, an Associate Professor within the Department of Behavioral Science, and former Associate Director of the Cancer Prevention Research Training Program, Carrie serves as the contact PI for the SCOARE program. A trained sociolinguist, she has experience consulting and developing specialized training and education programs in the corporate, government, non-profit, and academic sectors on topics including cross-cultural communication and language and writing training. Her research has focused on scientific communication skill development, publication ethics, and career development for international and specific US trainee populations. Carrie’s efforts in education, research training, and mentoring have been recognized by the UT Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award and the Understanding Interventions Adolphus Toliver Award.
